Thank you for your interest in listing your cemetery property for sale.

As a cemetery broker licensed by the California State Board of Consumer Affairs, I list cemetery property including graves, crypts and niches for sale much the same as a real estate broker lists property for sale.

To do this, I request a copy of the deed for the property so that I can make an evaluation. I then send a written proposal stating the dollar amount the seller will receive upon a sale. (In some instances, the proposal will also include an offer for my purchasing the property outright from the seller.) All cemetery fees and commissions are paid by the purchaser. If the proposal is accepted, a Special Power of Attorney (approved by the cemetery) and a Listing Agreement will be sent in a listing package along with other special documents as the situation may require. The documents must be signed, notarized and returned to me so that I may actively show the property. As the seller’s agent, I take care of all details between the purchaser and the cemetery. Then, when the transfer is complete, payment is made to the seller.
